Outerbike is Back!

Test out the latest and greatest bikes and gear on some of the nation’s best trails this August as Outerbike returns to Crested Butte! Self-proclaimed “the BEST bike demo event in the Universe,” Outerbike returns for the second consecutive summer from August 17-19.

Outerbike will be headquartered at the base of the Evolution Bike Park offering participants incredible access to the resort’s lift-served cross country and downhill trails, unrivaled mountain scenery and a friendly bike-centric mountain community. Hop on the lift to test the latest and greatest bikes on our bucket-list trails and repeat as needed. After riding your heart out, relax with a tasty beverage at an Outerbike party.

"Our first Outerbike CB was super successful with a really strong showing of key exhibitors and support from the community,” explains Mark Sevenoff, owner and guide of Western Spirit Cycling, which hosts Outerbike. “We really strive to have a good ratio of demo bikes to attendees and the mix in CB last year was near perfect. Crested Butte is one of our very favorite places to ride in the summer so it’s easy to share that stoke with our guests.”

This year, attendees will have a chance to interact with brands that are new to Outerbike, including Shimano North America Bicycle and Transition Bikes. Pivot Cycles will bring its new eMTB dubbed the Pivot Shuttle. At the Floyd’s of Leadville booth, learn about CBD recovery products and meet Floyd Landis himself. Other notable brands like SCOTT Sports, Specialized and Yeti Cycles will also be returning for the second year.

Participants can select from three different passes: Full Demo, starting at $240 per person; BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike), $190; and the Social Card, $85. Each pass grants access to the Outerbike Demo Village, but only the Full Demo pass offers unlimited riding of the newest bikes.

For folks looking to escalate their Outerbike weekend even further, the second annual Gravity Slave Dual Slalom takes place at the Evolution Bike Park on Saturday, August 18. This head-to-head bracket format race makes for awesome spectating and a thrilling race for competitors. So, now’s your chance to find out which of your friends is truly the fastest!
