The mountain is officially 100% open with abundant biking, hiking, dining and adventures! The first week kicks off with several awesome events to quench your thirst for adventure, community and music.

West Elk Archery Clinic I June 12

Bring your bow and learn from professional archer and West Elk Archers club representative, Ryan Johnson. Clinics are open to all ages and ability levels. For youth entry level participants, several children’s practice bows will be available at the sight in range to share; however, most participants should plan to bring their own bow and arrows. All sessions will meet in the base area at Evolution Bike Shop at 4:30pm for check in. Clinic formats will vary from week to week, so catch them all for a well-rounded training opportunity. 

The $10 Clinic fee includes one lift ride. 

KBUT Friday Fish Fry I June 15

The 2018 Friday Night Fish Fry is June 15, from KBUT Radio and Alpine Orthopedics. Join us at Crank's Plaza, just outside the KBUT studios at 508 Maroon Ave in downtown Crested Butte.

KBUT and Alpine Orthopedics are proud to host the Friday Night Fish Fry, a fun-filled community party.

Enjoy catfish, crawfish beignets, coleslaw, cornbread, red beans & rice with Andouille sausage, homemade desserts, and Colorado craft beers. It's an annual celebration of the KBUT program The Friday Night Fish Fry, which has been airing for 23 years.

KBUT DJs spin New Orleans-themed music and there's plenty of face painting and lawn games the youngsters entertained.

Extended Twilight Hours I June 15

Twilight hours are a great time to be exploring the resort. With unlimited chairlift rides on the Red Lady for just $9 for adults and kids 7 and over (kids 6 and under are FREE) from 4:30 - 7 pm starting this Friday! 

The Umbrella Bar and Adventure Park are also open until 7pm for extended food and fun!

Rocky Mountain Race Series I June 16-17

Chocolate Bunny Productions presents this five-stop race series in Colorado and New Mexico. Two days of racing in four disciplines (cross country, downhill, short track and dual slalom) offers an opportunity for everyone to compete at their own level. Series final points will be tallied off of four of the five events and racers will be allowed to drop one race if they attend all five events.

Alpenglow Free Concert I June 18

Alpenglow is the Crested Butte Center for the Art's free outdoor concert series on Monday evenings during the summer. With Crested Butte Mountain and Paradise Divide as the backdrop, come enjoy the sounds of a variety of music. Bring along your chairs, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

This week the Center for the Arts presents the 101st Army Band.

The 101st Army Concert Band kicks off the summer season of Alpenglow with a bang! The 101st Army Concert Band is the largest ensemble of the 101st Army Band of the Colorado National Guard. Extremely versatile, be ready to enjoy everything from large-scale formal concert band pieces to classical to patriotic music and marches. Originally formed in 1937, the band just celebrated its 80th year as musical ambassadors bridging the gap between citizens and the Citizen Soldiers that serve them. Each concert includes a salute to our much-appreciated veterans.
