The official start to summer is almost here and to celebrate we have a number of events that take full advantage of warmer and longer days! Check out the oldest Mountain Bike Festival, test your downhill, Enduro, or cross country bike skills, and join the High Mountain 3D Archery Competition for some high mountain fun.
Crested Butte Bike Week I June 20 – 24
Welcome to the oldest mountain bike festival in the world! This is where a rider can experience one of the birthplaces of mountain biking and ride miles and miles of singletrack. Events include the Powerade gO Pinnacle Bike Races, Fat Tire 40 cross country bike race, the infamous Chainless downhill race, discounted passes to Evolution Bike Park, historic walking tours, movies, group rides, and much more!
Powerade Pinnacle gO Ride – Bike Week Race I June 20
New this year, the Bike Week Pinnacle Race will be held during the first race on June 20th. The Bike Week Pinnacle Race will only feature the Westside to Happy Hour enduro style trail, with post-race awards taking place at Red Lady Stage in the base area on the mountain.
Due to the revised format for the Bike Week Pinnacle Race, registration will take place at Butte 66 on the mountain from 1 PM to 2 PM on June 20 and Racing will start at 2:30 PM. Awards and the after party will be held at the Red Lady Stage.
Extended Twilight Hours I June 20 and 22
Hours for the Red Lady Express, Evolution Bike Park and Adventure Park are extended to 7 PM on Wednesdays and Fridays. The Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks is also open later on Fridays and is the perfect place to start the weekend. Get unlimited chairlift rides on the Red Lady for just $9 for adults and kids 7 and over (kids 6 and under are FREE) from 4:30 - 7 pm. High Mountain 3D Archery Competition I June 24
Crested Butte Mountain Resort and West Elk Archers will host the 5th annual 3D competition giving archers the chance to access the beautiful Gunnison National Forest via the Red Lady Express Chairlift. Participants will take the lift up to the start of the course at 10,300’ with amazing views of the Elk Mountain Range to the North. A Sight-in Range will be set near the top of the lift for archers to warm up before starting the course. From there, archers will follow the course through open country and dark timber along 30 targets for a one-day competition.
