Now in its seventh season, this year’s show brings in Colorado jamgrass revolutionaries with Crested Butte roots, Leftover Salmon. The concert is free for all to enjoy springtime sunshine and quintessential Colorado music after a great day on the slopes.

The band has two amazing sets planned to keep everyone noodling in their boots until sunset. You won’t want to miss this once in a lifetime experience - snow or shine!”

Monday’s lift tickets are the cost of the cumulative score of the game

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – January 23 – The penultimate games of the National Football League season took place this weekend, leaving only two teams to battle it out for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Join Crested Butte Mountain Resort to celebrate the big game between the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots. Butte 66 will be hosting their annual Big Game Party with deals on wings and customized specials related to each team throughout the game.

Guests should plan on sticking around on Monday as the price of Monday’s full day lift ticket will be based on the final combined scores of Sunday’s game. The price will be determined using the following formula: $1 per point scored. If the final score is Atlanta, 24, and New England, 21, the price of a lift ticket for Monday, February 6 will be $45. However, there is a cap in the event of a high-scoring game; guests will pay no more than $65 for a full day lift ticket.

The early season snow dances have paid off in spades.

CRESTED BUTTE, CO. – January 11 – Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) has received the most snowfall in the state from a seemingly never ending January storm, for a new total of 90 inches/7.5 feet in 10 days. To put it into perspective, that's just one inch shy of University of Central Florida basketball phenom, and NBA hopeful, Tacko Fall's full height of 7 feet 6 inches. Yeah. That's a lot of snow.
Due to the extremely heavy and wet snow and the rate at which it was falling, the resort was forced to close early on Monday, Jan. 9, a first in recent history. It was undoubtedly the right call. CBMR re-opened to eager skiers and riders bright and early Tuesday morning, Jan. 10 and has remained open since with unbelievable conditions.
"The safety of our guests and the employees here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort comes first and foremost,” said Resort spokeswoman Erica Mueller. “But we’re up and running and everyone is having a blast out there."

So far 2017 looks to be a phenomenal year for...Read more
