5 Things You Will Find On Every Female Group Ride
Let’s face it, meeting other women that ride bikes shouldn’t be hard but our busy schedules and jobs can make organizing a group ride super difficult. Planned, organized all female rides make it easier to meet new friends. Plus riding the lift up at the Evolution Bike Park allows more time to get to know each other!
Riding the trail with women who know the route and are at a similar ability level is encouraging and helpful. Sharing tips and tricks with one another makes everyone a better rider and makes learning easier.
Let’s face it, we’re not perfect and there’s bound to be a few mishaps or hilarious antics out on the trail. Here are a few examples from my own personal experience:
- Flat tires
- Mud in every crevasse
- Helmet hair
- Taking a pedal to the shin
Regardless of the mishap getting back in the saddle is easier when you’ve got a support system ready to laugh it off with you.
The Potential for Goofy Outfits
Crested Buttians are known for their costume boxes. While we might be more inclined to rock a onesie giraffe suit in the winter, biking offers similar opportunities to don your favorite outfit. Tutus, wigs, sequins and animal onesies look equally awesome on bikes as a pair of skis.
Guilt Free Snacks
Bringing snacks is essential especially when you’re ripping up the downhill park. Recommended snacks consist of the following:
- Pocket bacon
- Leftover pizza
- Bobo’s Bars
- Honey Stingers
- Homemade Granola
Plus the EVO Ladies group ride provides a free draft beer at the end of the night!
Don’t miss out on a great time! CBMR has partnered with the Crested Butte Mountain Biking Association to create EVO Ladies. Join us September 7 and 21 for Twilight Lift access riding with a great group of likeminded girls! Learn more at skicb.com/events.
